Building 5 houses takes 12 x 75 ie 900 man-days. 20 men will thus take 900/20 ie 45 days.
1 7/8 days Matthew in one day can build 1/3 of the block. Andy in one day can build 1/5 of the block. Together in one day they can build 8/15 of the bolck. It means they need less than 1 day to build 7/15 of the block, which is 7/8 of the day. Thus, they need 1 day and 7/8 of the next day to build the block together.
1 wall = 5 men X 8 days = 40 man days 40 man days / 3 men = (40/3) days = 13 1/3 days
It takes 100 man-days, so three men would take 33 and a third days and 8 men 12½ days. Working together the 3 men and 8 men would take 100/11 or 9 and a ninth days
20 hours
Probably longer, unless Tommy Walsh is the gaffer...
3 days
75 / 5 = 15 days for 12 men to build one house. 15x12 = 180 days for 1 man to build 1 house. 180 x 7 = 1260 days for 1 man to build 7 houses. 1260 / 20 = 61 days for 20 men to build 7 houses.
Inca houses were typically built using a technique called "ashlar" masonry, where stones were cut to fit perfectly without mortar. Depending on the size and complexity, an Inca house could take several weeks to several months to construct. The speed of construction was facilitated by the large workforce and impressive organizational skills of the Inca civilization.
About 2 weeks
it take 2 days
This was a previous incorrect answer*DIVIDE BY 2! everything is in half. half the people half the houses then it stands to reason HALF THE DAYS!!!!! the answer is 60*.....Actually the correct answer is 120 days. You must analyze the relationship of people per house (10 people build 60 houses=6 houses per person over time span). To prove this just imagine if the question asked how long 1 person would take to build 6 houses. You would not simply divide by 10 to get 12 days.
