Start with the 1 in the middle of the bottom row, then put successive numbers a knight's move up and left. If this would take you to an occupied square, use instead the square immediately above the LAST number. Continue in this fashion until you have put 25 in the top middle square. You should now have a magic square of constant 65

ie 3-14-25-6-17; 22-8-19-5-11; 16-2-13-24-10; 15-21-7-18-4 and 9-20-1-12-13.

NOTE: This method works for all odd-numbered Magic Squares!
