Areas are measured in squares.
The area of any shape is the number of squares that it covers. The number of squares covered depends upon the size of the squares.
A square centimetre is a square with 1 centimetre along each side.
If you had a square 6 centimetres along each side, how many of these "square centimetres" would be needed to fill its interior?
First, along one edge of the square you could fit 6 of these square centimetres in a row.
You could also fit 6 of these rows down the 6 cm square. So in total there would be 6 x 6 = 36 of the little squares:

It depends on the measurements of the walls or how long they are.If the room was square, and each wall measured 2metres, then you multiply the measurements of two sides together to find the area - 2x2=4m2.If it was a rectangular room measuring 2m on two sides and 4 on two sides, multiply 2x4 which equals 8m2.Remember, the formula for working out area or a square or rectangle is length x width.
All sides of a square are the same. So, only two numbers multiply to 81, 9 times 9. Since there are 4 sides in a square, 9 + 9 + 9 + 9 is 36. 36 is your answer.
A right triangle is easy, simply multiply the two sides and divide by two
when you multiply the area of the small triangle by four it equals the area of the large triangle.
36 - here's how you get this answer: 81/9=9 The area is found by multiplying two sides, so take the square of 81 to get the two equal side measures. In this problem, the number is 9. A square has four equal sides. Two of the sides are 9. Since all sides are congruent, the other two sides must be 9, too. To get the perimeter of a square, you add up all four sides. 9+9+9+9=36 or you could do 9x4 to get 36 also. Good Luck! :)
You multiply the two sides the object in order to find the square feet of an area
You have to multiply the two dimensions to get the area. In this case the answer will be 36 square inches.
The area is the inside. The perimiter is around. If its a rectangle, to find the area you multiply the lengths of two sides
you multiply two sides together. for instance, a square that is 4x4 cm would have an area of 16cm*2.
definition of a square: all sides are congruent (equal) Therefore, all sides are 2.5 feet. To find area, you multiply length by width....so multiply 2.5x2.5
To calculate area, you multiply the two sides together to get 4 square feet.
Multiply two of the sides togther (L x W) 8x8=64 Area = 64 sq feet.
To find the area of a square you multiply the length by the width. Since it is a square and not a rectangle you will be multiplying the same number because all the sides are the same length.
All sides of a square are equal. To find the area if a square we multiply two sides together. 4 x 4 =16 so the length of each side is 4

Multiply the lengths of two sides of the square. If a square is 5 inches tall and 5 inches long, the area of the square us 25 Inches Squared.
You can measure the shape by calculating its area. The formula of an area depends on the shape you want to measure. Here are some formula of an area: Circle= get the square of the radius and multiply it by pi constant Square= get the square of one of the sides Rectangle = multiply its length by its width Triangle= multiply the base by its height and divide the product by two
