Real numbers are all numbers which do not contain "i", when "i" represents the square root of -1. All numbers which do contain "i" are "imaginary numbers" and are not real numbers.

This means that all numbers you'd ordinarily use are real numbers - all the counting numbers (integers) and all decimals are real numbers. So in answer to your question, all the real numbers that are not whole numbers are all the decimal numbers - including irrational decimals such as pi.

If a number is a real number is it a whole number?

No, most real numbers are not whole numbers.

Is a real number a whole number?

No, not all. All numbers are Real Numbers. * * * * * All numbers are not real numbers: there are complex numbers and others. Also, all real number are not whole numbers. sqrt(2) or pi, for example are real numbers but not whole numbers.

Is -6.06 a real number?

Yes. Every number is a real number. Rational numbers, irrational numbers, Whole numbers, Natural numbers, integers are all real numbers.

Which property of the real numbers is illustrated by the following statement?

A real number is any number. Real numbers can be whole numbers or numbers which include a decimal point.

A number that is real rational and whole an integer?

3. It is real, rational and whole. Rational numbers are numbers that can be written as a fraction.

Defined real numbers?

Real numbers encompass any number along the number line, infinitely. Integers, whole numbers, natural numbers, etc. are are real numbers.

What is the order from largest to smallest for whole number integers rational numbers natural number irrational numbers and real numbers?

Such numbers cannot be ordered in the manner suggested by the question because: For every whole number there are integers, rational numbers, natural numbers, irrational numbers and real numbers that are bigger. For every integer there are whole numbers, rational numbers, natural numbers, irrational numbers and real numbers that are bigger. For every rational number there are whole numbers, integers, natural numbers, irrational numbers and real numbers that are bigger. For every natural number there are whole numbers, integers, rational numbers, irrational numbers and real numbers that are bigger. For every irrational number there are whole numbers, integers, rational numbers, natural numbers and real numbers that are bigger. For every real number there are whole numbers, integers, rational numbers, natural numbers and irrational numbers that are bigger. Each of these kinds of numbers form an infinite sets but the size of the sets is not the same. Georg Cantor showed that the cardinality of whole numbers, integers, rational numbers and natural number is the same order of infinity: aleph-null. The cardinality of irrational numbers and real number is a bigger order of infinity: aleph-one.

Is Every whole number is a real number?

Yes. The set of whole numbers (more usually called Integers) is a strict subset of the set of Real Numbers.

Are all imaginary numbers are real numbers?

No. None are because the opposite of a real number is an imaginary number. In real numbers there are rational, irrational, counting, whole numbers, and integers.

What is the next real Number after the number 2?

3 all positive, whole numbers are real

Does every point on the real number line correspond to a rational number?

No. There are several real numbers that are not rational (e.g. pi). However, every rational number is also a real number. In general, whole numbers/natural numbers is a subset of the integers (i.e. every whole number is an integer), the integers is a subset of the rationals, the rationals are a subset of the real numbers. I think the real numbers are a subset of the complex numbers, but I'm not 100% positive on that.

Is 4.83 a real number?

The number 4.83 is a real number. Real numbers include all whole numbers, fractions, and decimals that can be represented as quantities along a continuous line.
