you can add logarithms if they both have the same base

use this rule if they both have the same base, a:

logam+logan= loga(mxn)

all you have to do is multiply the base numerals together (mxn) :)

ln5+2ln6

= loge(5)+2loge(6)

simplify it using

nlogam= logam^n

= loge(5)+loge(6)^2

= loge(5)+loge(36)

use the first rule at the very top

= loge(5x36)

=loge(180)
