There are 24 hours in a day. So you must count how many days there are and multiply that amount by 24.
For Example:
17th March to 24th March
There are 7 days. 7 multiplied by 24=168
So 168 hours

To calculate the hours and minutes worked you could simply start a timer when you get to work and stop it when you leave. Do this every day until it is time to turn in your hours and minutes worked. The amount on the timer will be your total.
To calculate the elapsed time between a.m. and p.m., you first need to determine the number of hours that have passed. For example, if it is 11:00 a.m. and you are trying to find the elapsed time until 3:00 p.m., there are 4 hours between those times. You can then convert those hours into minutes or other units of time if needed.

To calculate the number of hours until June 13, 2010, you would need to know the current date and time. Then you can calculate the difference between the current time and June 13, 2010, in hours.
Including the start and end dates in the calculation, there are 48 days between the two dates. There are 24 hours in one day. Therefore, 48 days is equal to 48 x 24 = 1152 hours.
From 12am to 8am is a total of 8 hours. This is because there are 8 hours between the two times, counting inclusively. To calculate this, you can subtract 12 (midnight) from 8 (8am) which equals 8 hours.
