Take 20%, for example. 1st, divide 20 by 100, always 100 percent total.

U get 0.2

2nd, take 0.2 & read it according to it's place value.

the 2 is only one decimal place out, so it's in the tenths place.

So I would read it as two tenths...written as a fraction, 2/10

3rd, reduce to 1/5 by dividing numerator & denominator by 2
