3x + 4y = 12 subtract 3x to both sides

4y = -3x + 12 divide by 4 to both sides

y = (-3/4)x + 3 directly we say that y-intercept is 3, to find x-intercept assigning y to 0;

0 = (-3/4)x + 3

-3 = (-3/4)x multiply by -4/3 to both sides

(-3)(-4/3) = (-3/4)(-4/3)x

4 = x the x-intercept is 4

At the y intercept, x = 0. Plug that value into your equation and you will get the answer.

I'm going to assume you meant 4x + 2y = 12...

4x+2y=12

2y=-4x+12

y= -2x+6

Y intercept = 6
