a = (-2,3)

b = (5,-4)

vector AB = b - a = (7,-7)

Length of AB = sqrt( 72 + 72) = sqrt(98) = 7*sqrt(2)

Midpoint of AB = a + (b-a/2) = (-2,3) + (7/2,-7/2)= (3/2,-1/2)

The midpoint of ab is m (-2, -4) if the coordinates of a are (-3, -5) what are the coordinates of B?

The coordinates of point B can be calculated using the midpoint formula. The midpoint formula is used to find the midpoint of two points, and is calculated by taking the average of the x-coordinates and the average of the y-coordinates. In this case, we are given the midpoint of AB, which is (-2, -4). We also know the coordinates of point A, which are (-3, -5). Using the midpoint formula, we can calculate the x-coordinate of point B by taking the average of the x-coordinates of points A and M. This is (-3 + -2)/2 = -2.5. We can calculate the y-coordinate of point B in a similar way. This is (-5 + -4)/2 = -4.5. Therefore, the coordinates of point B are (-2.5, -4.5).

When point A has coordinates 65 and the point B has coordinates 2-1 find the coordinates of the midpoint of AB?

oh my goodness not even dr.sheldon cooper can answer that

How do you find the midpoint in a given segment?

If the coordinates of the end points are (a,b) and (c,d) then the midpoint is the point whose coordinates are [(a+c)/2, (b+d)/2]

What is a midpoint in coordinates?

Mid Point Definition: The point halfway between the endpoints of a line segment is called the midpoint. A midpoint divides a line segment into two equal parts. Mid Point Formula: MidPoint where (x1, y1) (x2, y2) be the end points of a line segment. MidPoint Diagram Mid Point Example: Find the coordinates of the midpoint of the line joining (-1, -3), (-5, -7). x1 = -1, y1 = -3 and x2 = -5, y2 = -7 Substitute in the formula as : The above example will clearly illustrates how to calculate the Coordinates of MidPoint manually.

How do you calculate the midpoint of a pair of coordinates in maths?

The average of the x coordinates of the point(s) is the x coordinate of the mid point, The average of the y coordinates of the point(s) is the y coordinate of the mid point, and so on, through 3, 4 dimensions, etc.

Point that divides a segment into two segments of equal length?

This point is called the midpoint.

Does the order of the coordinates matter in the Midpoint Formula?

yes because it important to use it in mid point formula

A point that divides a segment into two segments of equal length?

Midpoint.

What point divides the segments into two segments of equal length?

The midpoint.

How do you find the value of a mid point?

To find the midpoint between two points:The x-coordinate of the midpoint is the average of the x-coordinates of the two points.Similar for the y-coordinate.

How is the midpoint of a segment different from the length of a segment?

Mostly because, assuming it just one segment, a midpoint by definition (mid- means middle) is the point at the exact middle of a line segment; whereas the length of the segment is the entire length of the segment. Pretty much, a midpoint is a point in the middle of the line, the length is the measurement of the same line.

If the midpoint of xy is located at the origin and one endpoint of this segment has coordinates of -8 10 what are the coordinates of the other endpoint?

The other end point is (8,-10).
