the area equals one half base times height.

For example : you have a triangle with a base of 5cm and a height of 6cm you multiply 5 times 6 (=30) then you divide 30 by 2 because its one half of the base times height.

Hope that helps :)

Find the area of an isosceles triangle that has two sides 34cm long and the base is 32cm long with a height of 30cm Show your work and explain the formula you used?

there is no specific formula for isos triangle..... 1/2bh..which means 1/2xbasexheight is the formula for all types of triangles.....so if we take isos as a triangle we can use this formula to calculate the area of the figure!

What is the formula to get the area of a triangle?

The formula to calculate the area of a triangle is A = 1/2 * base * height, where A represents the area, the base is the length of the triangle's base, and the height is the perpendicular distance from the base to the opposite vertex. This formula is derived from the fact that the area of a triangle is half the product of its base and height. By plugging in the values for the base and height into the formula, you can easily determine the area of the triangle.

What is a formula for surface area of triangle?

K, well there is no surface area of a triangle, because a triangle is a 2s figure. Surface area is for a 3d figure. To find the regular area of a triangle the formula is 1/2 of the base X the height :) gl :P
