Basically it is anything that you can physically touch, like your tv, computer, car etc. They are called 3d because they have 3 planes (you can measure its length, with, and volume). Things that are not 3-dimensional would be things that you would see in a book, or on television. They would be 1 dimensional because you cannot measure its volume.
