3x - y = 3

y = 2x + 2

Put the value of y in the 1st equation:

3x - y = 3 it will be -->

3x - ( 2x + 2 ) = 3

3x - 2x - 2 = 3

x - 2 = 3

X = 5

Put the value of X in the 2nd equation so as to find the value of Y :

y = 2x + 2

y = 2(5) + 2

y = 10 + 2

Y = 12
