Basics:
Positive + Positive= Positive
Positive + Negative= Positive or Negative, depends on the problem
Negative + Negative= Negative
Example: -15 + 7= ?
Basically what you are doing is subtracting 7 from 15. 15 - 7= 8
Now, you turn the 8 into negative 8. -15 + 7= -8. You are doing this because let's say you have good candy and bad candy. You have 15 bad candy. You add 7 good candy. 7 of the 15 bad candy cancel out the 7 good candy. So, now you are doing 15 bad candy minus 7 bad candy, so you are left with 8 bad candy!
o= posotive x=negative. This is an easier way to think of it.
x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x
o o o o o o o= These posotive chips cancel out 7 of the negative chips right above them. Now the left over chips is what your answer is, whether it is posotive or negative!
You'll get the hang of it don't worry. ;)
Same way as for positive numbers: add them together and divide by two.
If you multiply two numbers, the result will be positive, if both factors are positive, or if both are negative. Multiplying a positive number by a negative number, or a negative number by a positive number, results in a negative result. For addition, if you add two positive numbers, the result is positive. If you add two negative numbers, the result is negative. If you add a positive and a negative number, the result depends on which of the numbers has the greater absolute value. when you add two positive integers the answer is always positive when you add two negative integers the answer is positive when you add one negative and on positive integer, the answer is negative subtracting two negative numbers gets a negative answer subtracting two positive numbers- the answer depends subtracting a negative and positive number- the answer depends, the positive number would have to be bigger than the negative to achieve a negative number, and if the positive number is less, than the answer is still negative

Adding a negative number to a negative number makes a larger negative. In order to solve this you add the numbers together as a positive then add a negative sign.
Same way as for positive numbers: add them together and divide by two.
This is accomplished the same way as with positive integers. Add all of the numbers together and divide by (positive) 2. Don't let the negative signs fool you!

Numbers are positive unless they have a minus sign (-) in front of them, in which case they are negative. As for the sum of positive and negative numbers, just add them up and find out. Add the positive, subtract the negative. It's very logical.
Because positive numbers are to the right of negative numbers on the number line. If you have two numbers, one the negative of the other, and you add the positive to the negative, you get zero. If you add the positive to zero, you get a positive number. So positive numbers are an increase from zero, which is an increase from negative numbers. A negative number may have a greater absolute value than a positive number, but it will always be less than a positive number.
Actually it doesn't. Add two positive numbers, and you always get a positive result.
If both numbers are positive, simply add them as you learned in 4th grade. If both numbers are negative, simply add them but add a minus to the answer. If one is positive and the other negative, ignoring the signs, subtract the smaller from the larger and add the sign of the larger to your answer.
That depends on the values of the given numbers but a positive number multiplied by a negative number will be negative
