You can cross multiply if there are two fractions to compare.

EXAMPLE: 1 2 If you multiply the lower right #

__________ = __________ by the upper left # you will get 4 for

2 4 the left side and if you multiply the

lower left by the upper right you will

4 also. compare the numbers for

each side and you get "equal to"
