First of all you turn the fraction in to a decimal value by dividing the number on the top (numerator) by the number on the bottom (denominator).
An Example
1/4 = 0.25 (just do 1 divided by 4 on your calculator)
Then you round your answer to one decimal place. We do this by looking at the second digit after the decimal point and asking if this digit is greater than or equal to 5.
If it is greater than or equal to 5 then we have to round up by adding one to the digit to its immediate left (in this case the first digit after the decimal point). If it is less than 5 then we round down (we leave the digit to its immediate left as it is).
Note: It is the first digit after the decimal point that could change during this process here and this is why we say the answer is correct (has been rounded) to one decimal place.
So rounding 0.25 to one decimal place:
The second digit after the decimal point IS equal to or greater than 5 (it is 5). So we round up.
0.25 becomes 0.3 (to one decimal place).
To express 3.6875 as a fraction, we first note that the decimal extends to four decimal places. To convert this decimal to a fraction, we place the decimal portion over the place value of the last digit (5 in this case), which is 1/10000. Thus, 3.6875 as a fraction is 3 6875/10000 or simplified to 1475/4000.
To get the decimal, divide the numerator of the fraction by the denominator. If the decimal runs to more than one place, then you have to round it to one decimal place.
A decimal number is one in which the place value of each digit is ten times the place value of the digit to its right. (... , thousands, hundreds, tens, units, tenths, hundredths, ... ) A decimal point is used to separate the units from the tenths. If a number in decimal form has non-zero digits after the decimal point then it is a decimal fraction. [There is one esoteric exception: if the decimal point is followed by an infinite string of 9s, then it is not a decimal fraction.] Thus 37.6 is a decimal fraction 0.6 is a decimal fraction 0.00000063 is a decimal fraction 37 is not a decimal fraction. 37.0 is not a decimal fraction. 37.999... recurring is no a decimal fraction [it is in fact = 38].
First of all you have to multiply 75/1 and 15/100 which is 1125/100. then, to make it a proper fraction, you simplify it to 11 25/100 (which the correct answer is 11 1/4) To make it a decimal you have to put it to the hundredths place which you already did. so it is 1125%
Third to the right of the decimal point
To express the product of 2.94 and 24.8 correct to one decimal place, you would multiply the numbers and then round the result to one decimal place: 2.94 * 24.8 = 72.912 Rounding this to one decimal place, we get: ≈ 72.9
0.5714285714285714 = 0.57
To express .91 as a fraction, we can write it as 91/100. This is because the decimal .91 can be converted to a fraction by placing the digits after the decimal point (91) over the place value of the last digit (100). Therefore, .91 as a fraction is 91/100.
To get the decimal, divide the numerator of the fraction by the denominator. If the decimal runs to more than one place, then you have to round it to one decimal place.
To convert a decimal to a fraction, take a look at how many places the decimal takes up (this does not include zeros). There is only one, the tens place. So place 3 over 10. Since it is already in simplest form, that is your answer(3/10).
A decimal number is one in which the place value of each digit is ten times the place value of the digit to its right. Third to the right of the decimal point
Given a number in percentage form, you move the decimal point two places to the left to express it in decimal form. If it had no decimal place to start with, append one at the end of the number. If there are not enough digits to move the decimal place two places, then insert 0s before the start of the percentage. To convert to a fraction, divide the percentage by 100. Simplify the fraction is you so wish.So 42% is 42. (append decimal point) and the decimal is 0.453.5% is 0.03542% = 42/100 = 21/50.3.5% = 3.5/100 = 35/1000 = 7/200.

To write 0.001 as a fraction, you need to consider the decimal place value. The decimal point is three places to the right of the decimal, so you can express 0.001 as 1/1000. This is because the decimal point separates the whole number from its fractional parts, with each place value representing a power of 10.
