How do you get to 32 only using the number 4?

4x4=8, and then 8x4=32

4*4 = 8? Since when?

4*4 + 4*4 = 32

or

4*(4 + 4) = 32

or

44/4 + 44/4 + 44/4 - 4/4 = 32

or

4/4 + 4/4 ... [32 times] = 32

and there are lots more possibilities. But the last time I checked, 4*4*4 was 64, not 32!
