You should break it down in to smaller shapes. Two rectangles. Then figure out all the lengths. Multiply to find the area of the two rectangles. then add the products to get the final area.
By dividing it into two rectangles.
A rectangle that is 2cm by 4cm has an area of 8cm. It also has a perimeter of 12cm.
room is in cuboid shape, so by calculating length(L),breadth(B),height(H) we can find area by formula AREA=L*B*H
you can do a rectangle: 7x3=21. hope it helps! :D
That is the definition of the area of a rectangle. It does not work for any other shape.
To work out the area of a composite shape, you will have to divide it into smaller figures.
In order to measure area of an object in math you will have the multiply the objects witdth X (times) length then you will have your area or the inside of the object. Depends on the shape! For a rectangle or square it is A=L*B Depends on the shape! For a rectangle or square it is A=L*B Depends on the shape! For a rectangle or square it is A=L*B

The area depends on the shape. For example, the area of a circle = Pi*r^2 where r is the radius. The area of a rectangle = l*w, where l is the length and w is the width.

If it is in the shape of an L or close this is how you do it. First split it in to 2 rectangles. Then find the area of that by doing Length x After. Arther that just add them together and you have found the area!
Assuming you have the dimensions of each of the sides - treat it as two separate rectangles. Using the measurements you have, work out the areas of both rectangles - then add them together.
