There's no legal (FCC) limit.

At one time years ago, there was a 'voluntary' limit that most radio stations adhered to.

But since more commercial minutes means more revenue (income, profit), the voluntary

limit was doomed from the start.

The only realistic answer to the question now is: As many as they can sell and cram into

an hour of program without letting it become so obvious that they lose listeners.
