So, if you were born on 12 June 2002, your age on your birthday in 2016 is:
age = 2016 - 2002 = 14
Today (when I'm writing this) is 4 April 2016, so your current age is 14 - 1 = 13.
On some date after 12 June, for example 23 September) your age will be 14.
