It's just a number divided by another number. To create a fraction on a calculator without a fraction button, you just divide the numerator by the denominator. For example, the fraction 4/9 is equivalent to 4 ÷ 9 on a calculator.
If I understand this right, you want to know how to convert a fraction into a decimal with the aid of a calculator. This is usually done by pressing the fraction button on your calculator which changes it from a fraction to a decimal and vice versa.
A fraction does not have a button part.
The bottom number of a fraction is the denominator and the top number is the numerator.
You can enter complex fractions on a TI-Inspire calculator, even though there is not a fraction button. Since a fraction bar essentially means to divide, so the division button is a fraction bar.

On most calculators you will have a button with that looks like a fillied in rectangle on top of a line on top of an empty rectangle. This button is commonly in on the top lot of buttons on the calcultor. You just press then number you want at the top of the fraction (numerator), then the button described above, then press the number you want at the bottom of the fraction (denominator). et voila.
On the common Texas Instrument (TI) it looks like a fraction with a square instead of a number for the denominator and numerator. If you cannot find that button you can also put the fraction as division inside parenthesis for example 1 half could be put in as (1/2)
