Since mensuration has to do with measuring, to do Advanced Mensuration math questions you would have to apply that knowledge in order to solve the problem.
In math, mensuration refers to the measurement of geometric quantities such as length, area, volume, and angles. It involves applying formulas to calculate the size and dimensions of geometric shapes and figures. The study of mensuration is important in solving problems related to geometry and real-world applications of measurements.

a story of maths on topic use of maths in our daily life
Maths is used in making monuments because for making it we need to apply mensuration.

You might have to use maths in working out costs of things. For example, if it says 20% off you would need to work out 20% of the cost to know how much to pay. Also in cooking, working out how much in weight of the ingredients you need to use. I find that the only maths you really need for everyday life is adding, subtracting, multiplication and divition. If you know how to apply those you're O.K. for most things. I agree though this is really arithmetic - dealing with basic quantities of counted objects. The question though is open-ended: what do you mean by "daily life"? Even if not a professional mathematician or physicist, as physics is largely applied maths, you may find yourself performing basic mensuration, trigonometry, algebra as applied formula manipulation, and so on. For example, my hobbies can involve trig, co-ordinates, areas & volumes; a friend who is a central-heating installer has to know quite a few formulae in his daily trade-work.
