The limits appear to be f(a) and f(b), but we can't be sure because you haven't

told us anything about the function. I'm sure we could find an exception without

trying too hard.

OK ... here's one now:

f(x) = x2

a = -2

b = +3

-2 < x < +3

f(a) = (-2)2 = 4

f(b) = (+3)2 = 9

But the limits of f(x) are not 4 and 9, because f(0) = 0 .

I have a feeling that you can't make any general statement about the limits

of the function over any interval without knowing what the function is.

What is heaviside function?

The Heaviside function is a discontinuous step function. It is 0 for all values less than some specific value. At and after that value, it takes the value 1. The Heaviside function can be used to represent an "Off-On" function.See link for more.The Heaviside function is a discontinuous step function. It is 0 for all values less than some specific value. How do you know if a quadratic function is factorrable or not?

If its discriminant is less than zero it can't be factored.

What is greatest integer function of 0.7?

The greatest integer function, often denoted as ⌊x⌋, gives the largest integer less than or equal to x. For 0.7, the greatest integer is 0, since 0 is the largest integer that is less than or equal to 0.7. Thus, ⌊0.7⌋ = 0.

What does it mean for a function to be continuous?

It means that the function value doesn't make sudden jumps. For example, a function that rounds a number down to the closest integer is discontinuous for all integer values; for instance, when x changes from 0.99 to 1, or from 0.999999 to 1, or for any number arbitrarily close to 1 (but less than one) to one, the function value suddenly changes from 0 to 1. At other points, the function is continuous.

How fast is 2600 rpm?

2600 RPM is around 70 MPH. The usual speed limit on most US roadways is 55 MPH or even less. 2600 RPM is actually fast compared to the US speed limits.

What are the values of Lame's constants and how do they affect the mechanical properties of materials?

Lame's constants are two parameters used to describe the elastic properties of materials. They are denoted as (lambda) and (mu). represents the material's resistance to volume changes, while represents its resistance to shape changes. These constants affect the mechanical properties of materials by determining how they respond to stress and strain. Materials with higher values of are stiffer and less compressible, while materials with higher values of are more resistant to shearing forces. Together, these constants help characterize a material's overall elasticity and strength.

What characteristics of the graph of a function by using the concept of differentiation first and second derivatives?

If the first derivative of a function is greater than 0 on an interval, then the function is increasing on that interval. If the first derivative of a function is less than 0 on an interval, then the function is decreasing on that interval. If the second derivative of a function is greater than 0 on an interval, then the function is concave up on that interval. If the second derivative of a function is less than 0 on an interval, then the function is concave down on that interval.
