Mode, median and mean are three diffierent type of averages:
Mode is the most frequently occuring data item. If more than one item have the same frequency (ie appear the same number of times) they are all the mode; unless every item appears the same number of times in which case there is no mode average. Mode is the only average which does not have to be numeric, for example a survey of people's favourite milk shakes would likely have a flavour that is favourite amongst more people - that flavour would be the mode.
Median is the data item that appears in the middle when the data items are listed in numerical order. If there is sn even number of data items, then the median is the mean average of the middle two data items.
Mean is the average that every data item would have if they were the same value; it is obtained by adding together all the data items and then dividing this sum by the number of data items.
The range is a crude measure of the spread of the data items; it is the numerical difference between the lowest and highest data items.
These four terms are used within data handling to give an idea about the dataset under consideration.
When an average is uinspecified, it is usually taken to be the mean average, but if it is likely that the other averages may differ somewhat from the mean, it could be one of the other averages - depending upon the point of view the report writer wants to portray. Government statistics for cencuses, etc, ususally use median averages.
Mean: 71 Median: 67.5 Mode: None Range: 28
Mean: 4.2 Median: 2 Mode: 1 Range: 8
Prior to the introduction of 170, the mean, median, mode and range did not exist since there were no numbers at all. Once 170 is introduced, it becomes the mean, median and mode. The range is zero.
The mean and the median of the two numbers, 12107 and 1115 are 6611.There is no mode. The range is 10992.
Mean: 4.2 Median: 2 Mode: 1 Range: 8
median= 4&3 range=3 mode= no mode

First of all rearrange the terms into Rank order. Hence 17,7,11,13,2,12,7 Becomes 2,7,7.11.12.13.17. The MEAN is the sum of all the terms divided by the number of terms. Hence [2+7+7+11+12+13+17] / 7 => [ 69 ]/7 = 9 6/7 = 9.85714.... ~ 9.86 ( 2 d.p). The MODE is the term that is most frequent, which is '7' The MEDIAN is the absolute middle term , which is '11'. The RANGE is the difference between the largest number and the smallest number, which is 17 - 2 = 15 !!!!!
The mean, median and mode of a single number is the number itself. The range is 0.
