Having pride is very wrong as it leads a person to have to much ego. And finally it is the cause of that persons failure, and eventual fall. As the saying goes Pride comes before a fall.

The origninal line is "pride cometh before a fall" (don't mind the archaic verb). What this essentially means is that if you think too well of yourself, you are going to have some misfortune that will prove to you that you are not quite as good as you thought you were.
