2^(6) X 2^(3) = 2^(6+3) = 2^(9) = 512

NB Providing the coefficients is the same, '2' in this case, when multiplying you just add the indices/power/exponentials.

Similarly

For division , subtract the indices.

2^(6) divide 2^(3) = 2^(6-3) = 2^(3) = 8

For 'nesting' , multiply the indices.

[2^(6)]^(3) = 2^(6x3) = 2^(18) = 262144

NB In all cases the coefficient MUST be the same.

NNB Something along the lines of 2^(3) X 3^(2) does NOT work by adding/subtracting/nesting the indices. , because the coefficients are different.
