Reciprocal is the multiplicative inverse. This means that a number times its reciprocal equals 1. So the reciprocal of 5/4 is 4/5, such that (5/4) x (4/5) = 1. Opposite is a little more vague, but could refer to the additive inverse. A number, which when added to the additive inverse will equal zero. In this meaning, the additive inverse of 4/5 is -4/5, so that when they add together, the sum is zero.

here are some examples to help you out

lets say you get this problem

2 . 5

_ ÷ _

3 . 4

ok so now you must do the RECIPROCAL of the second number {reciprocal of 5/4 is 4/5}

so your equation should look like this

2 . 4

_ x _

3 . 5

which equals 8/15

see I did the reciprical of 5/4 I just flipped it around!! it is as simple as that
