generally we calculate voltage difference not absolute voltage but we say it voltage so if V(AB) is positive then V(BA) will be negative.V(AB) means voltage difference between A and B.

Why the dc average voltage is having negative value?

Voltage is synonymous with 'potential difference', and cannot have a positive or negative value (in the sense of charge). So what you are describing is 'potential', which can. So, for example, a battery whose positive terminal is earthed or grounded will indicate a negative potential if a voltmeter is connected between earth and its negative terminal.

Why inductance value is negative?

Inductance is not negative. It is measured in henrys, and that is a positive value. Inductive reactance, however, is measured in ohms, and is commonly shown as negative to indicate that the current lags the voltage.

Does a positive value multiplied by a negative value equal a positive?

No, the product of the multiplication of a positive and a negative value is negative.

What are the meanings of positive and negative reduction potentials?

the meanings of positive and negative voltage

Does battery voltage combine when you use more than one?

The voltage adds if you connect in series (positive to negative). It stays the same if in parallel (Positive to Positive and Negative to Negative).

Is a negative plus a positive a positive?

If, and only if the positive value is > the negative value.

Why negative supply is more prefer then positive supply?

A: actually it is the other way around usually negative voltage is a biasing scheme. Most design are begun with a positive voltage in mind. Not that a negative voltage will not work it is just people think positive

What does a negative add a positive equal?

If the absolute value of the negative is bigger than that of the positive, then the answer is negative. If the absolute value of the negative is the same, then zero. If the absolute value of the negative is smaller, then positive. Absolute value is the value ignoring the sign.

What is a positive DC voltage?

A positive DC voltage is an electric potential where excess electrons will flow from negative to positive.AnswerYou appear to be mixing up potential difference (i.e. voltage) with potential. There is no such thing as a 'positive' voltage if you mean 'positive' in the sense of charge! 'Voltage' means 'potential difference', and you cannot have a positive or negative potential difference in this sense. You can only apply positive and negative in this sense to potentials. However, if you mean 'positive' in the sense of direction, then a positive voltage is one that is acting in the opposite direction to a negative voltage within the same circuit. For example, where two batteries have been connected in opposition.

Will the product of a positive and a negative factor be a positive or negative value?

Negative

What is the negative of zero?

There is no negative of zero, nor is there a positive. Zero is no value, hence it has no positive or negative value.
