The main difference between the Egyptian numerical system and the Hindu-Arabic system is the characters. While in Hindu-Arabic the symbols 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and, 9 are used the Egyptians used a character for each 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10,000, 100,000, and 1,000,000.
