Multiples

For example: Multiples of two 2, 4, 6, 8, 10.

The numbers after the "2" branch off of the "2." Factors are above the number.

Factors

In factoring, you are finding numbers that fit into the number you are trying to factor.

For example: 20

1x20=20

2x10=20

4x5=20

So the factors of 20 are 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, and 20.

but the Multiples of 20 are 20, 40, 60, 80.

Factors are under the number while Multiples are over the number.
