Stairs are defined by tread and rise: tread is the depth, front-to-back (or toe-to-heel), of the horizontal surface; while rise is the height, or step-up from one tread to the next.
These dimensions can vary depending on design choices, the site requirements, and local building codes.
I think the proper approach would be the reverse order...
# determine the local building codes # determine your requirements (total height needed, total run/width available) # determine design requirements (steep angle, like a ladder requires greater rise/fewer, shallower treads, more effort to climb; shallower angle requires more steps, more space, but are easier to climb.) One rule of thumb is called the "Rule of 25": a staircase will be safe and easy to climb if the height of two risers plus the depth of one tread equals 25.

Good luck.
you will need the base and the height of the traingle.the formula is 1/2 x base x height!!
A formula is needed to find the area of a parallelogram. It is a very simple formula which notates Area = base x height.
That depends which formula is needed but in general:- Volume in cubic units = pi*radius2*height and Entire surface area in square units = (2*pi*radius2)+(pi*diameter*height)
A formula is a statement. It's not a problem or an exercise to which a solution is needed.
Length, width, and height

The Excel credit card payoff formula is PMT(rate, nper, -balance). This formula calculates the monthly payment needed to pay off a credit card debt within a specific time frame.
The formula for the perimeter of a rectangular prism is 2(length + width) + 2(length + height) + 2(width + height). This formula calculates the total distance around the three-dimensional shape by adding the distances of all the edges. The perimeter is important for determining the amount of material needed to enclose the rectangular prism or for calculating the distance around it.
only solids have "lateral area". triangles have "area". the area of a scalene triangle is given by heron's formula. height not needed.
An example of an inclined plane physics problem is calculating the force required to push a box up a ramp. To solve this problem, you would need to use the formula for calculating the force of gravity acting on the box, as well as the formula for calculating the force required to overcome the incline of the ramp. By applying these formulas and considering the angle of the ramp, you can determine the force needed to push the box up the incline.
If a calculation of volume in cubic inches is needed, all dimensions need to be converted to inches before calculating the volume. For example, if calculating a rectangular prism in cubic inches, the dimensions need to be converted to inches, then the volume is calculated as length times width times height.
The most effective Excel formula for calculating credit card payoff is the PMT function. This function helps you determine the fixed monthly payment needed to pay off a credit card balance within a specific timeframe, taking into account the interest rate and other relevant factors.
Height and weight are key to calculating one's BMI. The BMI calculator will give you a good idea of a normal weight for one's height as well as obesity levels. It also provides knowledge for underweight statistics.
Calculating air space for a speaker box is crucial. A box that is not large enough will make the speaker sound horrid. To find the correct amount of space necessary?æ multiply the width, length and height of the speaker than divide everything by 1728. This will calculate the amount of square inches of air space needed for the box.
