The median is 7.5

(3+9)/2 = 6
To find the median, first, arrange the numbers in ascending order: 3, 6, 7, 9, 9, 10. Since there are six numbers (an even count), the median is the average of the two middle numbers, which are 7 and 9. Thus, the median is (7 + 9) / 2 = 8.
Median of the set = arithmetic mean of 8 and 9 = 8.5

First of all rearrange the terms (numbers) in rank order. Hence 3,4,6**,8**,8,9,9. The MEDIAN is the ABSOLUTE middle number in the rank, which is the first '8'. Note , there are three terms to either side of this '8'. The MODE is the number that appears most frequently (often) . Both '8' & '9' appear twice. So either '8' is the mode, or '9' is the mode. Neither number is incorrect. However, since '8' is also the median , it is probably the best to select '8'. The MEAN (Casually the Average) is the sum of all the terms divided by the number of terms. Hence [3+4+6+8+8+9+9] / 7 => [47]/7 = 6.714.... N.B. In Maths. it is the 'MEAN' . Casually in everyday life it is referred to as the average. However, the word 'average' comes from Latin ' Avaria' , for 'loss ' or 'damage.

Mean: 5 Median: 5 Mode: 3
The median of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, and 9 is 5. The median is the middle value of the list. In this case, three numbers are below 5, and three numbers are above 5. Thus, it is the middle number.
To work out the median, we firstly rearrange these numbers into numerical order: 3 6 9 10 The middle number is the median. However, in this example, there is no middle number, so we take the mean of 6 and 9 (mean: (6+9)/2=7.5). So the median is 7.5
