What is the slope and yintercept of y plus 4x plus 3?

There is no slope nor intercept because there is no equation, simply an expression.

What is a slope used for?

It shows the relationship of y in terms of x. [y = (yIntercept) + ((slope)*(x))] [slope = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)]

How do you write an equation of a line that passes through the xintercep and yintercept?

You can write it either in standard form (ax + by = c) or in slope-intercept form (y = mx + b)

What are the slope and yintercept of line 5x 10y 15?

Without the inclusion of an equality sign and not knowing the plus or minus values of the given terms it can't be considered to be a straight line equation

What is the equation in slope-intercept form of the line that has a slope of 5 and y-intercept of -3?

How do you find the slope and y-intercept of an equation?

first of all, i dont see how slope and yintercept has anything to do with shopping. usually in an equation, y= mx+b, m stands for slope, and b is the y-intercept. x and y are just x and y. If the equation is mixed up, and is not in y=mx+b format, you need to solve to get y on one side, the slope, x, and whatever the presented constant is (which is the y-intercept) on the other side. hope this helps.

What would the equation of a line be if it went through the point 2 comma 2 and its yintercept was 10?

We know that the line passes through points (2, 2) and (0, 10) (since the y-intercept is 10).Using these two points, we can find the slope of the line,m = (10 - 2)/(0 - 2) = 8/-2 = 4/-1 = -4.Now by using the slope, m = -4, and the y-intercept, 10, we can write the equation of the line in the slope-intercept form, y = mx + b which isy = -4x + 10.

Solve my homework problemIt's about using slope intercept form One problem is 2y equals 8x-2?

I shall do this one , but you must do the rest otherwise you will not learn. 2y = 8x - 2 is the given eq'n/ The straight line form is y = mx + c'. 'm' is the slope/gradient of the line 'c' is the y-intercept. So divide both sides by '2' ; this will result in 'y = ' Hence y = (8/2)x - 2/2 y = 4x - 1 is the straight line form of y = mx + c. So the slope is m = 4 The y-intercept is c = -1 NB for all linear equations this is the method. NNB Linear eq'n may appear in various forms. 2y = 8x - 2 2y - 8x = -2 2y - 8x + 2 = 0 y - 4x + 1 = 0 etc., So you need to algebraically rearrange into the y = mx + c form However, if there are powers of 'x' or 'y' it is NOT a straight line. Hope that helps!!!!
