∙ 14y agoif the object is a square take the square root of the area, which gives you one side length. Then multiply by 4. In this case the side length would be 15 and the perimeter would be 60.
The formula for measuring the area of a square is s2, where s is the length of one of the sides. The perimeter would be 4s.
well, it depends on WHAT polygon that you are talking about. For example, if the figure that you were talking about was a square, then the perimeter would be sqrt20 = one side length 8sqrt5= perimeter of square and so on and so forth...
The perimeter of a square is the sum of all its sides. In this case, if the perimeter is twenty centimeters, each side of the square would be five centimeters long.
Not really... The perimeter is simply the total distance around the outside of the shape. Since a square has four equal sides, the formula for the perimeter of a square can be simplified top = 4swhere p is the perimeter of a square and s is the length of one side. Rectangles have two pairs of opposite sides of the same length, but the length of one pair does not necessarily equal the length of the other pair. Therefore, in the equation above, 4s gets replaced by 2L + 2w, where L is length and w is width.p = 2L + 2wNo. The formula for a square requires information for one side only: that would not be enough for a rectangle.
the circumference of a square would be the perimeter. you find the perimeter of a square by finding length(2)xheight(2). * * * * * Except that it is easier to calculate for a square since the length is the same as the height and so the answer is length*4
The area of the square would be 36 square feet and the perimeter is basically four times the side, because a square has equal sides so the perimeter would be 24 feet. \
we all know that the square has 4 equal sides and u said that its perimeter is 40 cm then the length of each of its sides is 40\4=10 and the area of a square is stimess which is side times side then its area is 10 TIMES 10=100CM^2 THAT S IT SO SIMPLE ZEINAB SLEIMAN LEBANON BEIRUT GRADE 8 ALBATOUL HIGH SCHOOL TUESDAY:3-3-09

The perimeter means the total length around the outside of the shape. If you were to walk this distance you would end up walking whatever the perimeter is equal to.In a square it has four sides. Since each side length is 50 inches you would walk a total of 200 inches. The perimeter OS a square with sides of 50 inches is 200inches
The perimeter would be the sum of the lengths of the four sides.P = 4*l

The perimeter of a square can be calculated by multiplying the length of one side by 4, since all sides of a square are equal. Therefore, the perimeter of a square with sides measuring 17.5 inches each would be 70 inches.
One square meter has a length of 100 centimeters and a width of 100 centimeters, so its area measured in centimeters would be: 100cm * 100cm, which equals 10,000cm^2
If a square lot of equal sides length, the total would be 10,890 square feet.
depends how big the square is and you would only know if the edge lengths are given
