It would help to have a few specific examples as I am not sure how much depth you want to go into.
To find all of the factors of a big number, I find the square root of that number and round down. Then all factors must be equal to or lower than that square root.
eg To find the factors of 1200, the square root is 34.6. Round down to 34. Any factors of 1200 must be 34 or less. Then I just try starting from 2 (1 is always a factor), I try to divide by all of the numbers up to 34. Some will not work. So factors of 1200 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 16, 20, 24, 25, 30.
To find multiples, use multiplication tables. e.g. multiples of 7 are 7, 14, 21, 28 etc.
If you want Lowest Common Multiples, and Greatest Common Factor, then that involves different process.
Factors of the number will also be factors of the number's multiples. Multiples of the number will also be multiples of the number's factors.
Factors go into numbers, numbers go into multiples.
The same way as finding factors of positive numbers but the answer includes both the positive and negative factors.
Factors go into numbers, numbers go into multiples.
Factors - 1, 2, 3, 15, 30 Multiples 0, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150...
divide.
The answer will depend on the problem!
If finding that information assists in solving whatever problem you're working on, it's helpful.
Factors create multiples, multiples break down into factors.
It doesn't. You need common factors for that, not common multiples.
well i need to know this Question
the factors and multiples of 396 are 1,2,3,4,6,9,11,12,18,22,33,36,44,66,99,132,198,396
Factors: 1,2,3,6 Multiples: 6,12,18,24 and so on.
Factors go into numbers, numbers go into multiples. Divisibility shows what factors come out of what multiples.
Factors of the number will also be factors of the number's multiples. Multiples of the number will also be multiples of the number's factors.
MultiplesFor example: Multiples of two 2, 4, 6, 8, 10.The numbers after the "2" branch off of the "2." Factors are above the number.FactorsIn factoring, you are finding numbers that fit into the number you are trying to factor. For example: 201x20=202x10=204x5=20So the factors of 20 are 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, and 20.but the Multiples of 20 are 20, 40, 60, 80.Factors are under the number while Multiples are over the number.
Factors go into numbers, numbers go into multiples.
