I assume you mean, with different denominators. If you want to add the fractions, subtract them, or compare them (determine which one is greater), you have to convert them to similar fractions (fractions with the same denominator) first. Converting to similar fractions is not necessary, and usually doesn't even help, if you want to multiply or divide fractions.
fractions having same denominators are like fractions & others are unlike fractions
6/7 - 2/7 = 4/7
I Have Absolutely no clue im sorry that i couldnt help you out with this question find another website they might help you out try google or bing - thanks :)
Yes they can. For example: if I have the fraction 3/6, this equals out to 1/2 or 0.5. Another fraction, for example 4/8, when you divide the numerator and the denominator by 4, you also get 1/2 or 0.5. Another way to do this is to get out a calculator, and punch in 3/6. You should get 0.5 as your answer. Then punch in 4/8, and you should still get the answer 0.5 proving that two different fractions can have the same equivalent.
Finding the LCM will make adding and subtracting fractions easier.
Dissimilar fractions are fractions that have different denominators.
Dissimilar fractions may or may not be proper fractions.
Dissimilar fractions have different denominators.
Used for adding dissimilar fractions
The meaning of dissimilar fractions is when there is a pair or more of fractions that don't have the same denominator.
You can compare similar fractions by looking at their numerators. You can compare dissimilar fractions by converting them to similar fractions and looking at their numerators. You can convert a dissimilar fraction to a similar fraction by finding the least common denominator.
Dissimilar fractions are fractions whose denominators are not the same. for example 3/8 and 1/2, their denominators are 8 and 2.
They are fractions that have different denominators as for instance 3/4 and 5/8 are dissimilar fractions.
Dissimilar fractions.
similar fraction is the same denominator and dissimilar fraction is cannot the same denominators
A dissimilar fraction is a fraction where the denominator is not the same as the others .
Dissimilar fractions have different denominators as in the following examples 1/2, 3/5 and 7/8
