Oh, dude, a number with 4 factors would have to be the product of two distinct prime numbers. So, like, if you multiply two different prime numbers together, you'll get a number with 4 factors - 1, the number itself, and the two prime numbers you multiplied. Math can be pretty chill sometimes, right?

A number with exactly 4 factors must be a square of a Prime number. This is because factors come in pairs when a number is not a perfect square, but when a number is a perfect square, one of the factors is repeated, resulting in an odd number of factors. Therefore, the number must be the square of a prime number, such as 4 (2^2) or 9 (3^2).

No, because 4 is not a factor of 14, for example. The rule for finding if a number is a multiple of 4 is: If the last 2 digits of the number are a multiple of 4, then the number is a multiple of 4.

Example: here are some multiples of 4: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 68, 72, 76, 80, 84, 88, 92, 96, 100

so if the last 2 digits of the number are 04, 08, 16, ...., 96, or 00, then the number is a multiple of 4 (or you can say that 4 is a factor)

234535721117575672 has 4 as a factor, because 72 are the last 2 digits.

Rather than memorize all multiples of 4 to 100, just remember this:

if the 'ones' digit is a 0, 4, or 8, then the 'tens' digit must be even (zero being even): example, 20, 48, 64

if the 'ones' digit is a 2 or 6, then the 'tens' digit must be odd.

example 16, 52, 36
No. 4 and 24 have a factor of 4, but 14 and 34 do not.

Any number in the 4 times table: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, ...

There are two easy tests to see if a number has 4 as a factor (ie is divisible by 4, or, put another way, is a multiple of 4):

1) The last 2 digits of the number is a multiple of 4.

2) If the sum of the last (ones) digit plus twice the tens digit is a multiple of 4, then so is the original number.

The second test can be repeated on the sum; so if the summing is repeated until a single digit remains, then the number has 4 as a factor only if this single digit is 4 or 8.

What is a number less than 20 and has 3 factors?

4 and 9. Factors of numbers come in pairs which means that every number ought to have an even number of factors. To have an odd number of factors, one factor pair must be a repeated number which means that only square numbers have an odd number of factors. The square numbers less than 20 are 1, 4, 9 & 16 and of these 4 & 9 have 3 factors: 4: 1, 2 & 4 9: 1, 3 & 9

If a number has 2 and 4 as factors then it has 8 as a factor true or false explain why?

False. Just because a number has 2 and 4 as factors does not necessarily mean it has 8 as a factor. For a number to have 8 as a factor, it must have both 2 and 4 as factors, but it could also have additional factors that are not necessarily present in numbers with only 2 and 4 as factors. In other words, having 2 and 4 as factors is a necessary but not sufficient condition for a number to have 8 as a factor.
