truncate means to add the whole number to whatever else you have, and then multiply it by your fraction
It would be 50. In rounding up, we add one and truncate the digits after the decimal point. In rounding down, we just truncate the digits. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rounding#Common_method
It all depends upon the radius of the sphere, since:volume_of_sphere = 4/3πr3Once that has been calculated, the result is rounded using normal rounding rules - look at the tenths' digit and if it is less than 5 truncate the result to the whole number (ie ignore the decimal part) otherwise add 1 to the result truncated to a whole number.
The digit in the next place, 2, is smaller than 5 so truncate the number at 1 decimal place: 0.1
The answer can be another fraction and a whole number or it can be a whole number.

If you truncate 3.8, you will get 3. Remember, while truncating you don't have to follow the rules of rounding off.

You can't convert a number with decimals (or a fraction) to a whole number, without losing precision. You can round it to the nearest number, or truncate it (just remove the decimals), but in any case, that won't be the same number (just the nearest integer, in case you choose to round it), so "2.8 as a whole number" really doesn't exist.
truncate :)
my brother can truncate my computer
8.7 Since you want to round to the nearest whole number, add 0.5 to 8.7 and you 0.5 get 9.2 and now truncate everything but the whole number and the answer is 9 ___ 9.2 ___ ' + An alternative which cuts out a step, is to round down if the decimal part is less than 0.5, round up if 5 and above.

It depends on the situation. If you wish to simply truncate it, it would be 0. If you are dealing with money or a problem such as "How many square inches would you need to cover the can, rounded to a whole number", it would be 1. Personally, I recently finished Geometry, and I was taught to always round up. So in this instance, 1.
You can use COMMIT any time, but it is not necessary after TRUNCATE TABLE.
Truncate has many meanings depending on how it is used in a sentence. If it is used as a verb, truncate means to shorten something. If used as an adjective it means it stopped suddenly.
She had to truncate her story, so that it would fit into the five minute session.
