There are 7 choices for the first person.

For each of those 7 choices, there are 6 for the second.

For each of those 7 x 6 there are 5 for the third.

And for each of those 7 x 6 x 5 there are 4 choices for the fourth

Making a grand total of 7 x 6 x 5 x 4 = 840 ways.
