You can't express a perimeter in square units; a perimeter is a length expressed in ordinary units. If the perimeter of this square is 24 units then the answer above is correct.

But if you want to disregard the units, you can find triangles which perimeter is larger, smaller or even 'equal' to area, depending on scale.Take a 3,4,5 right triangle. The perimeter = 3+4+5= 12 units. Area = 3*4/2 = 6 square units. Now double the sides.Perimeter = 6 + 8+ 10 = 24 units. Area = 6*8/2 = 24 square units (the numbers are equal). Scaling it larger, then the valueof the area (in square units) will be larger than the perimeter value (in straight units).
The area of square is : 576.0
36cm
Area = 8*24 =192 square feet Perimeter = 24+24+8+8 = 64 feet
The minimum perimeter of a polyomino is the perimeter of the most square shape that can be formed. If the area can't form a perfect square, the minimum is formed by wrapping the additional units in a spiral around the smallest square or rectangle. Since 25 happens to be a perfect square (the square root is 5), the perimeter would be 2(5+5)=20. If the area were between 26 and 30 that would add two additional sides which would be 20+2. After 30 the units would wrap to a new side of the 5x6 arrangement (still a perimeter of 22) yielding a new perimeter of 22+2 or 24, which would persist until it exceeds 6x6, and so on.
Perimeter = 24 units implies each side = 6 units So area = 6*6 = 36 square units.
If the area is 36 square units, the square is 6 units by 6 units. The perimeter is 4 x 6 units = 24 units.
4 x 24
4 x 24

Perimeter of equilateral triangle: 24 units Area of equilateral triangle: 27.713 square units rounded to three decimal places
When the area of a square is 36cm2, its perimeter is: 24 cm
They can, but at different rates. Consider a square that is 4 units on each side. Its area is 4 x 4 = 16 units. Its perimeter is 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 16 units. Nice coincidence! Then consider increasing the square's size to 6 units on each side. Its area would then be 6 x 6 = 36 units. Its perimeter would be 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 = 24 units. So an increase in perimeter of 8 units (24 - 16) resulted in an increase in area of 20 units (36 - 16).
Perimeter of a square = 4*side. So perimeter of 6x6 square = 4*6 = 24 units.
A square with a perimeter of 24 cm has an area of: 36 cm2
