The answer depends on the university. Usually, you need at least a Master's degree to teach at a university. I've never heard of a college professor with only a Bachelor's degree.
Being a modelER requires an advanced degree in math/statistics/physics/etc. Being a model requires the ability to starve oneself and walk in high heels - ie no degree at all.

College undergrad? At least statistics, or some equivalent course. Much more math needed for certain degrees. I have two semesters of calculus that I hardly ever use, but the degree required it.
