median: when numbers are put in ascending order, it is the middle number. If there are 2 middle numbers, add the two numbers together, then divide by 2.

range: the lowest number subtracted from the highest number.

mode: the number that occurs the most

Answer 2:

Let's look at this random set of numbers:

[ 1 1 3 5 7 8 9 11 17]

The median of this set of numbers is 7, because it is the middle digit.

The mode of this set of numbers is 1, because there are more 1's in the set compared to all other numbers.

The mean of this set of number is 6.88. Mean is another word for average. To find the average of a set, add up all the numbers (1+1+3+5+7+8+9+11+17=62), and then divide by the total amount of numbers in the set. There are 9 numbers in this set, so 62/9= 6.88.

The range of the set is the largest number (17) minus the smallest number in the set (1). So 17-1=16. The range is 16.
