To work this out you have to know how to round. To round you start at the right end of number sequence and if the rightmost number is less than 5 you round it down to zero BUT if it is greater than or equal to 5 you round it up to ten and add the '1' on to the next number to the left. Thus 14.75 (which is two decimal places) becomes 14.8 to one decimal place - (14.95 would become 15.0)
The simple answer is yes. if you can't work out why i'll tell you why. it all has to do with decimal placing. So on the positive side you have the ones tens hundreds and so forth, but it is the oppisite on the other side. in goes tenths hundredths and thousandths and so forth. so to work it out you put them in their order of dicimal place. and voila! you can work it out!

The decimal that is equal to 20/25 is 0.80 or 0.8 (they are the same thing) because you first can convert the fraction to a number that is over a 1 followed by 0's and work from there, or simply divide in this case 20 by 25. The numerator (number on top) is divided by the denominator (number on the bottom)) to get the decimal it represents. :)
