It can be anything you like.-3 is bigger than -4 but (-3)/(-4) = 3/4 is a positive fraction which is less than 1.4 is bigger than 3 but 4/3 is a positive fraction which is greater than 1.3 is bigger than -4 but 3/(-4) = -3/4 is a negative fraction which is greater than -1.4 is bigger than -3 but 4/(-3) = -4/3 is a negative fraction which is less than -1.
One quarter is 1/4 Any fraction which has 1 on top (the numerator) and a number greater than 4 on the bottom (the denominator), so 1/5, 1/6. 1/7 etc are all smaller than one quarter. If the numerator is not 1, then if the denominator is more than 4 times the numerator, then the fraction is less than a quarter.

The above statement is not true!-3/4 is a fraction which is less than 1. Its reciprocal is -4/3 which is also less than 1, NOT greater.
