mean is where you add up all the numbers and divide by how many numbers there are. Median is where you put all the numbers in order and the number in the middle is your median. range is when you subtract the biggest and the smallest number in the set. Mode is the number that appears the most in the set.

mean: all the numbers added up and divided by the number of numbers

2,5,6,7

(2+5+6+7) divided by 4= 5

The mean is 5

Median is the middle number

1,2,3,4,5,

The middle number is 3.

Median = 3

Mode: the mode is the most common number

E.g.

2,2,2,2,3,3,3,4,4,5

There are four 2's, three 3's, two 4's, and one 5

Mode = 2

Range is the highest number and lowest number subtracted from each other

3,5,7,8,9

9-3=6

Range =6

Hope this helps you.thank you vist again.

Range:the largest number in the sequence minus the lowest number in the sequence

Median:the middle number in the sequence when the numbers are in order from least to greatest or vise vearsa if there are two middle numbers then you add them together and divide the answer by two

Mode:the number that appears most often in the sequence

Mean:also known as the average you add all the numbers together then divide the answer by the number of numbers you added together

Example:

1,4,66,7,8,40,93,3,4,4

Range: 92 (93-1=92)

Median:5.5 (1,3,4,4,4,7,8,40,66,93)(4+7=11)(11/2=5.5)

Mode:4

Mean:23 (1+3+4+4+4+7+8+40+66+93=230)(230/10=23)

The median is the middle number of any given set when they are in order, least to greatest. If there is an even number of values, the median is the average of the middle two.

Ex. (10, 17, 20, 45, 68)

The median is 20.

In any given set, the mode is the number that appears most often. If no number appears more frequently than any other, there is no mode.

Ex. (10, 17, 20, 45, 68)

This set has no mode.

In any given set, the range is the smallest number subtracted from the largest number.

Ex. (10, 17, 20, 45, 68)

68 - 10 = 58

The range is 58.

In any given set, the mean is the average, which is the total of the numbers divided by how many numbers there are.

Ex. (10, 17, 20, 45, 68)

68 + 45 + 20 + 17 + 10 = 160

There are 5 numbers in this set.

160/5 = 32

The mean is 32.

In any given set, the mode is the number that appears most often. If no number appears more frequently than any other, there is no mode. The range is obtained by subtracting the smallest number from the largest. The mean is the average. You find the average by adding up the numbers in the set and dividing that total by the number of numbers in the set. The median is the central number when the numbers are arranged least to greatest. If there's an even number of numbers, the median is the average of the middle two.

1) Median is the middle number in a group of numbers that are in chronological order.

For example for the group 3, 3, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20 the number in the middle of the group is 10, so the median is 10.

2) Mode is the number that occurs most often in a group of numbers. So for the group 3, 3, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20 the mode is 3.

3) Range is the largest number in a group minus the smallest number in the group. So for 3, 3, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20 the range is 20 - 3 which equals 17.

4) Mean is the average of a group of numbers. This means you have to add all of the numbers in the group and then divide the sum by the amount of numbers in the group. For example, in the group 3, 3, 8, 10, 12, 16, and 20 there are seven numbers. The total of the numbers is 72. So, 72 divded by 7 equals 10.28
