If you mean: 2n = 5-2 then n = 1.5
2n+2n equals 4n
6=(1-2n)+5 6-5=(1-2n)+5-5 1=1-2n 1-1=1-1-2n 0=-2n 0/-2=-2n/-2 0=n
Meiosis produces haploid gametes which have the ' n ' symbol.
4n
an=8-2n
1.04n + 7.8
An unfertilized egg would be 1N...so the organism that has a 2N number of 52 would have a 1N number of 26.
2x=52 Divide both sides by 2 to isolate x. 2x/2=52/2 x=26 The haploid number would be 26. Are you one of those people that have an F in math and/or science?
2n+2n equals 4n
2n + 4m - 2n + m = 5m
14-2n = 12
I am assuming that 2n is an algebraic expression, and n is limited to positive integer values. The first 4 multiples of 2n are 0 (2n*0), 2n (2n*1), 4n (2n*2), and 6n (2n*3). If you are looking for non-0 multiples, you would also include 8n (2n*4).
You can't. 17 + 2n = 21 + 2n gives: 2n = 4 + 2n which gives 0=4 which is not possible so the sum is not solveable.
Unlike animals, plants are a lot more varied in the number of chromosomes they can have. 'Anywhere between 2 and at least 12(?)' is a decent starting assumption.
2n x 2n x 2n = 8n^3
Let the numbers be 'n' + n+2' & 'n+4'. n(n+2) is 52 less than ( n+4)^(2) Hence n(n+2) + 52 = (n+4)^(2) Multiply out the brackets n^(2) + 2n + 52 = n^(2) + 8n + 16 Collect 'like' terms 52 - 16 = 8n - 2n 36 = 6n Hence n = 6 n + 2 = 8 n + 4 = 10 Hence the three consecutive even numbers are ; - 6,8,& 10.
2n + 3 = 352n = 35 -32n = 32n = 32/2n = 16
