A square has sides whose lengths are equal, so you can't have a square that is length 6 and width 3. That's a rectangle, not a square.
Also, we need to know what units the "6" and "3" are in. I'm guessing cm, but if they're in miles or fathoms then my maths is going to be way out.
So to get the area of a rectangle (or indeed a square) you just multiply the lengths of the sides together. In this case that's 3 times 6. If the 3 and 6 are in cm then the answer will automatically be in cm2.
For a rectangle, length X width = area. Measure the length in cm. Measure the width in cm. Multiply the length X the width to get the area in cm2.
area=length*width width=area/length w=161/14 w=11.5
4.8x10^5cm2
5 cm
Height of side = square root of (625 cm2 + 196 cm2) = 28.65 cm Surface area of 4 sides = 4 x 28.65 cm x 14 cm = 1,604 cm2 Area of base = 196 cm2 Total surface area, including area of base, is 1,800 cm2
For a rectangle, length X width = area. Measure the length in cm. Measure the width in cm. Multiply the length X the width to get the area in cm2.
length = area ÷ width = 132 cm2 ÷ 4 cm = 33 cm
6 square centimeters, or 6 cm2
To calculate area, or cm2, the length and width must be multiplied. For example, a length of 2 cm and a width of 3 cm equals an area of 6 cm.
area=length*width width=area/length w=161/14 w=11.5
Area = length x width so: 2 x 2 = 4 cm2.
Area = length x width ⇒ width = Area ÷ length = 34 cm2 ÷ 9 cm = 37/9 cm ~= 3.78 cm
126 / 9 = 14cmRemember:Area = Length x WidthWhich can be written as...Length = Area / WidthOr...Width = Area / Length
128 square cm (cm2). To calculate square centimeters simply multiply length by width - the result is the area in square cm.
The side length of a square if the area is 196 cm2 is: 14 cm
you know that: Area=length x width Area=A=30 cm2 and that the width= w and that the length= 2w so, what you do is: 30=2w*w (solve for w) 30=2w2 15=w2 take the square root of 15=w w=3.87cm Your width is 3.87cm your length is 2(3.87)=7.75cm
Multiply the two numbers together - and you get 35 cm2
