It's the bottom one. When doing sums with two different fractions we always had to find the lowest common denominator. It's how I remember.
e.g: 3/4 + 1/2 - 2 = 4 twice. 4 = 4 once. 3x1 = 3. 1x2 = 2. 3/4 + 2/4 = 5/4 = 1/4
