Area is important in many ways.

Let's say you're gonna have a huge party at your house. But, you don't want to invite to many people, or else it will be overcrowded. Let's just say your house is 13' long and 20' wide. You multiply 13' x 20', and you get 260 ft squared. let's just say that one human body takes up 1 ft squared. You can only invite 260 people, then, or maybe just 200 for elbow room.

Here is another example.

Let's just say that your backyard is 42 ft by 69 ft. Big backyard. You want a pool. and it is 2899 ft squared. You say, whoops! I can't have a pool. If the person who was getting the same pool but didn't think area was important would say, 'I'm gonna get this puppy installed.' so he would, and then he would knock into his neighbor's backyard, and probably get sued.

And that, ladies and gentleman, is how area is important.

There's no fun in playing it safe. Why not try something a little unhinged?
