There might be a number or reasons for why people hate science, probably the most common of which is that people don't really understand what science is, and might equate it to a religious way of thinking that competes with their deeply cherished religious beliefs.

People also blame science for some of its bad results, such as nuclear bombs and think that science will ultimately lead humanity to extinction.

Many people are also scientifically illiterate, and so see little use for it. Science sadly has alienated most of the population even though information is easily accesible online.

People may dislike science for various reasons, such as finding it difficult to understand, feeling intimidated by technical language, or disagreeing with certain scientific findings that challenge their beliefs or values. Additionally, some individuals may have had negative experiences in science classes or with scientists that contribute to their dislike of the subject.
