Just factor the quadratic to get:

(x - 3)(x + 2) = 0 (because y = 0 when the graph crosses the x axis)

x = 3 and x = -2

(3,0) (-2,0)

Will you give me an example of a radical equation with no solution?

The answer to the question depends on the set of numbers within which you are working. If you are working in integers, x2 = 2.25 has no solution. However, it does have a solution in rational numbers (x = 1.5). If working with rationals, x2 = 6 has no rational solution but it does have a solution in real numbers. Yet again, x2 = -6 has no solution in the reals, but does have a solution in complex numbers.

What is one solution of X2 plus X-6 equals 0?

x2+x-6=0 * * * * * Perhaps the solution you are looking for is: x2 + x - 6 = (x - 2)(x + 3) = 0; whence, x = 2 or -3.

How do you swap two numbers without third variables?

If the variables are x1 & x2 the solution is : 1) x1=x1+x2; 2) x2=x1-x2; 3) x1=x1-x2; EX: x1=1 , x2=6; 1) x1= 1+6 = 7 2) x2= 7-6 =1 3 x1=7-1 =6 ============================================

What is the solution set of x2 y2 26 and x y 6?

If you mean: x squared + y squared = 26 and x + y = 6 Then it works out that: y = 1 or 5 and therefore x = 5 or 1

What are the solution the equation x2 equals 36?

What are the points of intersection of the curves y equals x2 -7x plus 8 and y equals -x2 plus 9x -6 showing work?

If: y = x2-7x+8 and y = -x2+9x-6 Then: x2-7x+8 = -x2+9x-6 So: 2x2-16x+14 = 0 => x2-8x+7 = 0 Therefore: x = 1 and x = 7 By substitution: x =1, y = 2 and x = 7, y = 8 Points of intersection: (1, 2) and (7, 8)
